RK Motors Auction

Just got delivery of a 2018 Subaru Outback I won on RK Motors Auction. It was listed as 'Run & Drive' and honestly I was expecting a few surprises. Fired right up, drives great. The condition report was dead on. pleasant surprise. Anyone else find their reports this accurate?

Yep, that's been my experience with them. Bought a C6 Corvette last year from rkmotorsauction.com. The report was detailed and the 'Run & Drive' status was legit. Drove it straight to my mechanic and he confirmed it was solid. They're one of the better ones.

It's not just cars. I bought a 22ft pontoon boat. The outboard motor started as advertised. What really impressed me was how they handled the paperwork. I was worried getting a title for a boat would be a headache, but the clear title was sent by the bank and delivered along with the boat. It's a verification that the vehicle starts, can be put into gear, and moves forward/backward under its own power AT THE TIME OF LISTING. It's not a guarantee of roadworthiness or that it's free of issues. That said, RKMotorsAuction seems to be more thorough than most with their initial checks.

@GarageGuru exactly. I got a '93 RX-7 that was listed 'Run & Drive' from rkmotorsauction. Knew it would need work (it's a rotary lol), but it did exactly what they said it would. Started up, moved onto the trailer. For a project car, I got it for a steal. Understanding the terms is key.

My wife's Honda Odyssey came from there. Report was solid. We've had it for 6 months, no major issues at all, just regular maintenance. Saved about $4k compared to a private seller.

I'll second the positive comments. Grabbed a Ram 3500 for my business. The 'Run & Drive' report was accurate, helped me budget for a few minor things I knew it would need. Best part for me was the clear title. It was a bank repo so I thought it might be complicated but nope. RK Motors Auction had it all sorted, clean title arrived with the truck during delivery. Simple.

Their inventory of off-lease luxury cars is pretty good too. I got a 3-year-old BMW X5. Condition report was accurate down to the scuffs on the wheels. Saved a ton.

My experience was good overall. The Golf GTI I got was mechanically sound as the report said. There was one small door ding on the passenger side that wasn't super clear in the pics. But it's an auction car, you expect some wear and tear. For the price, I'm not complaining at all. A PDR guy fixed it for $100. Still a great deal from RKMotorsAuction.

@GTI_guy Yeah, you gotta factor that stuff in. I always go through the pictures on rkmotorsauction.com with a fine-tooth comb and assume there will be minor stuff. It's part of the auction game. Sounds like you still got a great deal.

I just stick to boring sedans lol. My Accord from RK Motors Auction has been the most reliable car I've owned. The report was accurate, the process was smooth. No complaints here.

Their website is decent. I found the bidding process on rkmotorsauction.com to be pretty intuitive. Used the proxy bid feature and it worked flawlessly. Won a Ford Escape without having to sit there and watch it the whole time.
